The Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) is £1.5 billion over the spending review period (until 2019/20). The fund is to help address the problems faced by developing countries, and will be counted as part of the UK's pledge to spend 0.7% of gross national income on Official Development Assistance (ODA).
